What to do for fun in OC?
Stuff to do in and around here....
If you want to do a morning activity such as a game of golf on one of our many wonderful Municipal Golf Courses to our gorgeous Snorkeling or Scuba Grotto's--in Lauguna Beach. It's available. Try catching a whale of a time on some of our great Newport Beach site tours or head over to Catalina in the Morning and get back in the evening. Real fun for everyone. Perhaps a run from Seal Beach to Newport Pier for some of that Marathon training you always wanted to do. Surfing is usually at least knee high to head high on any given day pending on the face of the beach. Might even see a Legend practicing out there? Not a morning person? Me either, Afternoon brunches are abundant around the Marina areas of Orange County from Khourys in Los Alamitos bay--to Los Brisas for an ocean view of memories in Laguna Beach--Bulabase soup is great! (ask for it) Looking for a coast drive head to Dana Point's Harbor area and if you are there already come up to Newport for some traditional service at Backbay bistro. Want to go in shorts and flips? Don't forget about the fun zone on Balboa across from Newport Beach pier--games-old style dock feel to it. Huntington Beach is the Wikipedia of laid back dining well should be in my O.P Downtown has great parking not much for validating (motorcycles park free in the garages FYI) but good parking and all the choices for food. There is always the Long Beach Museum or the Aquarium and surrounding areas--the harbor area has some quaint shops and American Staples like Chart House and a little spot of homemade confections and ice-creams for those of us with sweet tooth's. Evening times are unforgettable in Orange County--I have traveled around to different countries and most will agree that there is nothing more beautiful then a southern california summer night. Great for Horse racing over in Los Alimitos with Katella Deli across the street YUM! to Miniature golf and play parks like Knotts or just like to people watch? Head to downtown Disney-- park in the back where the theaters are its free over there like 6pm on. Or come back down to the Huntington Pier for it's dinner and dancing--bit crowded go over to Hyatt cool Jazz & Piano club Daddy-O. Looking for a bit more swanky atmosphere? Try Villa Nova at the start of Mariners Mile in Newport... Want to dress it up go over behind El Torito on Mac Aurther across from John Wayne there are a couple of Liquid House style clubs over there. Hope these ideas make for an adventurous time.
